Since its founding, TOPPAN Inc.
has been committed to supporting sustainable development through our printing technology. Over the
past century, our business areas have expanded, and our connections with society have continued to grow. Today, as we face significant challenges such as climate change and resource depletion, we must embrace our responsibilities as corporate citizens more fully than ever.
At TOPPAN, we've set three ambitious goals to achieve by 2050 as part of our commitment to building a sustainable society :
Decarbonization : Reduce our direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions to net zero as a company.
Resource
Recycling : Aim for zero waste emissions.
Optimal Water Use : Minimize water consumption and prevent pollution to help improve water quality.
With these goals in mind, we will promote sustainability activities aligned with the UN Global Compact and the international standard ISO 26000 Guidance on Social Responsibility while actively promoting initiatives aligned with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Responsible Sourcing
We provide low-carbon, eco-friendly products and services through efficient resource use, the development of durable products, and cleaner production processes. By identifying and reducing procurement risks throughout our supply chain, we aim to reduce their broader social implications.
- NO Added Formaldehyde or VOCs
(Volatile Organic Compounds) - We offer a range of products using olefin, a non-PVC printing film attracting attention as an environmentally friendly material.
These products are free from formaldehyde and VOCs, making them safer for both people and the environment.
100% Recycle Rate Achieved
At TOPPAN, we view creating a circular economy focused on recycling as a key priority. By minimizing waste from our operations and promoting the reuse and recycling of materials, we're working towards zero emissions. Through various initiatives to enhance our internal recycling efforts, we've already achieved a 100% recycling rate at several of our facilities.
