Redefining Decor Design: Interprint's IP25 Reveals a New Vision
2025/09/17

In today's design landscape, trend cycles can often feel repetitive. To break free from this pattern, TOPPAN's group company, Interprint, is raising a new question: "What's possible?" The answer is IP25, an open, experimental process designed for genuine co-creation, which was unveiled at the OpenHouse event in Arnsberg, Germany.
This new approach, termed the "Surface Matrix," goes beyond traditional decor development by exploring possibilities at the intersection of materials, technology, and human collaboration. The goal is no longer just to follow trends, but to generate new perspectives and create spaces that offer long-term value and evolution.

A New Vision for Co-Creation
The core philosophy of IP25 is to ask, “What happens when decor design no longer waits for the next trend, but starts to create new perspectives itself?” This question invites a new approach: to see design as an open, experimental "Surface Matrix," where materials, technologies, and people resonate with each other. This perspective encourages the industry to look beyond conventional sources of inspiration toward a more holistic approach. By drawing from a deeper understanding of the world and collaborating with diverse fields, new design solutions can evolve organically.

The Journey Ahead
The IP25 OpenHouse served as the starting point for this ongoing expedition. The event also showcased initial products born from these ideas, including new flooring concepts, AI-based designs, and technological innovations from TOPPAN.
IP25 is not a destination but a continuous journey. By remaining open to changing questions and growing insights, Interprint aims to pioneer new paths in decor design. In our next article, we will delve into the five core themes that form the foundation of this expedition.
