The Five Pillars of Exploration: A Deep Dive into Interprint's IP25
2025/09/24

In our previous article, we introduced the concept behind our group company Interprint's IP25 initiative. As a continuation, this article explores the five core themes that form the foundation of this expedition into the future of decor design. The IP25 website captures the spirit of this journey:
"In 2025, we ask ourselves a simple question: 'What happens when decor design no longer waits for the next trend but instead starts shaping new perspectives itself?' The answer is an invitation to think along: Five key themes — Nature, Society, Material, Tech, and Vision — form the foundation of an expedition that explores what's possible… Ready for a shift in perspective? Welcome to IP25."
The Five Pillars of Exploration
Interprint's expedition is built upon five core themes, each deepened through collaboration with pioneering external creators.

1. Nature: Collaborating with urban mushroom farm ‘Pilzling’, this theme explores learning from nature’s adaptive processes rather than just mimicking its aesthetics.

2. Society: With Lisbon studio ‘BY THE END OF MAY’, Interprint created acoustic panels from its own paper waste, turning recycling into a starting point for a circular economy.

3. Material: Artist Veronika Moos’s work inspired an approach that treats material as a partner in dialogue, finding beauty and meaning in its inherent imperfections.

4. Tech: In partnership with innovation studio ‘onformative’, AI is used to reinterpret natural materials, generating new digital textures that are physically impossible yet feel familiar.

5. Vision: Interprint’s designers engaged with external experts from various fields to co-create a future vision for surface design, incorporating diverse perspectives.

The Journey Continues: Upcoming Exhibitions
The IP25 exploration continues at several international venues, offering more opportunities to experience this shift in perspective:

• EXPO SICAM in Pordenone, Italy: 14 - 17 October 2025
• IP Open House in Curitiba, Brazil: 06 - 11 November 2025
